BARRE TOWN - Conrad L. White, 92, of Windridge Drive, passed away December 29, 2023,
at the Central Vermont Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Barre on February 28, 1931, he was the son of Harold and Alice (Bisson) White.
He attended St. Monica Graded School and graduated from Spaulding High School in 1949. After graduation he served in the Vermont National Guard and enlisted in the army and was stationed in Korea from 1952 - 1954. He was later employed by the Marchant Calculator Company and then the Eastman Kodak Company for thirty years.
On April 21, 1956, he married Beatrice Gauthier at St. Augustine church in Montpelier. They made their home in Barre Town until his passing. Conrad and Bea purchased a camp in North Hero in 1964 next to his parents. Many days were spent with his children, which included fishing, swimming, boating, and visiting the many beaches on Lake Champlain.
