David W. Blow Sr.

BARRE - David William Blow Sr., 75, of Barre Vt, passed lovingly into the arms of his Lord and Savior peacefully in his sleep on 4/5/25 while in long term care. David was born in Barre, Vt where he grew up in the Barre/Websterville area. He attended Spaulding High School where he graduated in 1967. After high school he joined the Air Force. David was a proud Vietnam veteran, Serving in the United States Air Force. While serving he met the love of his life, Linda Edson. And after just a short time he knew she was the one for him. They were wed and spent the next 54 years loving each other walking through life together. They had three children, David Jr., Konda, and Derek. David loved sports, playing many while he was in school. His love for sports he passed on to many as a baseball coach for many years, he not only taught them skills for the game but also life lessons to help them in life. He loved all of the New England teams, but he had a special spot in his heart for the Boston Red Sox. On any given day he could be found switching from one game to another on his television. David loved people and he had a way about him that soon after you met him you were friends. He opened his home to many, having numerous people live with the family as they were getting their feet under them. It was very evident how many people he knew because a trip to the grocery store was never a quick trip because of all the people he would stop and visit with. David, as was said, loved people but his family meant the world. And he loved spending time with them, especially his grandchildren. David is survived by his wife, Linda Blow. His son David Blow Jr. (his children, Jacob and Joshua). His Daughter Konda Perkins, (Her husband Rob Perkins and their children, Benjamin and Lerissa.) and his son Derek Blow, (his wife Becky Blow and their children, Abby, Emilee, Lucas, Harrison, Sophie, Amelia Kate.) Sister-in-Law, Marie Blow and Sister-in-Law, Shelby Blow. He is predeceased by his parents, his father, Albert Blow, his mother, Flora Blow (Smith). His Brothers, Gordon Blow, Eddie Blow, Donnie Blow, and his sister Catherine Ann Fowler. Services will be held at the Lighthouse Christian Church, Montpelier, Vermont, at 1:00pm Saturday 4/12/25. He will later be laid to rest at the Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery, in Randolph, Vermont at a later time. Arrangements are in the care of Pruneau-Polli Funeral Home, 58 Summer St. in Barre.
