Helen V. Fredericks

WILLIAMSTOWN - Helen Virginia Fredericks died peacefully at home with her devoted caregiver Tina by her side on June 22, 2024. Born a twin with her brother Henry on November 5, 1951 in Wallingford, VT, Helen was the the daughter of Francis and Gertrude Frederick. Growing up Helen lived in a number of different locations, including the Brandon Training School in Brandon, VT. Following her discharge from Brandon she lived in several locations throughout Vermont including Bellows Falls in the mid 1980s. As an adult Helen moved to Washingon County where she continued to live for over 30 years. Helen was well known and loved by all of her friends at Washington County Mental Health Services. She was a strong advocate for individuals with disabilities, most specifically for those who once lived at the now closed Brandon Training School.
