Pamala J. Paronto

BARRE - Pamala Joyce (Clark) Paronto passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, December 14th, at Central Vermont Medical Center. Pamala was born on April 2nd, 1958, in Framingham, MA. and she lived in various places before settling in Barre, Vermont. She was very strong in her faith. As a teenager, she was a choir member at the Barre Church of God of Prophecy. She married David Paronto on June 6th, 1980, at the First Presbyterian Church in Barre. Pamala and Dave shared over 45 loving years together. They enjoyed traveling with their children, Florida being a favorite destination. While their eldest son, Adam, was stationed in Germany serving in the Air Force, they took their daughter, Erin, and youngest son, Ryan, to visit him in Europe. The vast majority of her working years were as a caregiver. Her patience, selflessness, and dedication to the people she cared for ultimately led her to becoming a Licensed Nursing Assistant. Within the already caring field of nursing, she was continually recognized as being exceptionally compassionate. Pamala enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She especially looked forward to the summer months when she and her mother could spend time together on the hunt for bargains at yard sales. She loved to sing and play with her grandchildren whenever possible. Her pets throughout the years, which she considered to be part of her family, meant so much to her and brought her endless joy. Pamala’s life was spent in the service of others as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and caretaker to many. She will be remembered for the tireless devotion she put into her work and the people she cared about. Pamala bestowed an everlasting loving touch that those who were Blessed to have known her, will continue to feel. In addition to her husband, Pamala is survived by her children Erin Duprey of Barre, Adam of New York City, and Ryan and his wife, Mia, of Waterbury, and her three grandchildren Aiden, Quinn, and Aurellia. She is also survived by four sisters and three brothers as well as her nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is predeceased by her father, Richard, and her mother, Joyce. A Celebration of Life will be held at the American Legion in Barre on Saturday, January 27th, from 1:00-4:00 PM. Arrangements are in the care of Pruneau-Polli Funeral Home, 58 Summer St. in Barre.
