Raymond Messier Jr.

Northfield-Raymond R. Messier Jr., 60, passed away January 1st, 2022 at his home in Northfield Vermont. Born on June 23rd, 1961 in Hartford Connecticut, he was the son of Raymond Messier Sr, and Pauline (Beauvais) Messier.  He attended Northfield Vermont schools, prior to his departure to join the National Guard where he proudly served his country. Raymond, known best by family and friends as Ray, was a lifetime Northfield resident, and worked for local businesses most of his life, including Green Mountain Heritage Inc and Sweet Retreat, Barry T. Chouinard Inc., Depot Square Pizzeria, and most recently, Darn Tough Vermont where he made many connections, and shared many laughs. He was a loving father, grandfather, friend, and life partner. An avid outdoorsman with a passion for wildlife and foraging, and a very talented pastry chef and baker.
