BERLIN – Agnes L. (Corbett) Aubertin passed away at Woodridge Nursing Home, Berlin, VT, on January 3, 2026, at the age of 95, meeting her goal of living to the same age of her moms passing. She previously resided for over seven years at Heaton Woods, Montpelier, VT.
Born in Barre City on December 30, 1930, she was the daughter of the late James J. Corbett and Helen Zoe (Frenchette) Corbett.
Agnes was a graduate of Spaulding High School Class of 1949. She worked at Sprague Electric and later as a bookkeeper for many area businesses and had volunteered for 22 years at CVMC gift shop.
On December 30, 1955, she married Edward D. Aubertin at the Universalist Church in Barre. They lived in Barre, Middlesex, and East Montpelier and in 1968 purchased a home on Third Street in Barre. Ed passed away on August 1, 1994.
Survivors include her daughter, Judith M. (Aubertin) Dibbell and husband Richard of Lake Wales, Florida; granddaughter Jody (MacDonald) Marshall and husband Eric of Manchester, TN, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, husband, and five siblings, she was predeceased by her son, James D. Aubertin on August 24, 2016.
To honor her wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral service. Memorial contributions in her memory can be made to the Aldrich Library, 6 Washington Street, Barre, VT 05641.
