GRANITEVILLE - Andre J. Rouleau, 89, passed away peacefully on Sunday July 12, 2026. He was born on November 29, 1936, to Alphie and Ludivine Rouleau at the family home in Websterville, VT.
He attended Holy Ghost Catholic school and graduated from Spaulding High School
in 1954. His dream of becoming a civil engineer became a reality when he started college at The University of Vermont, the first in his family to ever attend college. He spent his career working for the State of Vermont and retired in 1993.
His memberships included American Society of Civil Engineers ASCE, Canadian Club, Jaycees, Barre Senior citizens and Knights of Columbus.
On June 15, 1963, he married Arlene (Myott). 5 children followed- Michael (Kathy), Terri (Bob), Joanne, David (Donna) and Deb (Greg).12 Grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was proud of all his family and their achievements through the years.
He was predeceased by his parents and sister Ethel as well as several in- laws. He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brother Ronald and sisters Colombe and Isabella and several nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
Dad lived his life with integrity, honesty and being kind to everybody and has left us with great memories. He led by example with his core values which will carry on for generations.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that you do kind deeds to help other people.
A Mass of Christian Burial to honor Andre will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026, at 11:00am at St. Monica Church in Barre. Burial will follow at St. Sylvester’s Cemetery in Lower Websterville. A fellowship gathering will be held at St. Monica Parish Hall after interment.
