Catherine W. Sawyer

BARRE- Catherine W. Sawyer, 94, passed away at the McClure Miller Respite House in Colchester on Monday, September 11, 2023, with her family by her side. She was born on August 8, 1929, in Barre, VT, the daughter of Michael J. and Leona (Hendy) Wobby. Catherine was a Registered Nurse and throughout her career she worked in all aspects of the nursing profession. Her family was her greatest joy in life, and she loved spending time with them. She married Wesley E. Sawyer on April 18, 1964, at St. Monica Church in Barre. She is survived by her two daughters, Susan Mailman of Colchester, and Lori Russotti & husband Ron of Essex Junction, her three grandchildren, Jason Mailman, Alicia Russotti and Nicholas Russotti. She is also survived by her two sisters, Agnes Ormsby and Mary Ann Bizzozero & husband Charlie, both of Barre, and several nieces and nephews.
