Claire D. Roberts

BARRE – Claire D. Roberts, 89, of Barre, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2024, at Mayo Healthcare in Northfield. Claire was born on July 5, 1934, in Fairfield, ME, daughter of Dezeri and Aline (Doyon) Begin. She had three sisters who predeceased her, Annette Cameron, Juliette Begin and Blanche Harris/Wrigley, with whom she was exceptionally close. She is predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Rexford Eugene Roberts, and is survived by her five beloved children: Susan of Boston, MA; Linda of Sacramento, CA; Jenny of Merrick, NY; Christopher of Barre; and Laura of Los Angeles, CA; sons-in-law Tom Savage and Bruno Torres, beloved grandchildren Claire and Abbie Savage, Bruno Torres, and Jenny Gasparello; many nieces and nephews and their children. Her cherished son-in-law, Ralph Gasparello, died in October 2023. She and her husband bought their home on Wellington Street in Barre in 1964.
