David P. Puffer

BARRE - We are deeply saddened to announce the passing Of David Paul “Sam” Puffer of Barre, VT. Sam died peacefully at his home on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at the age of 60 surrounded by his family. Sam is survived by his wife of 22 years Maria Trombley Puffer; his mother Janet Benzie Puffer; his daughters Erika and Jasmine Boyce and Cassie Wood; his grandchildren Parker and Finley; his brother Nathan and wife Merry; his brother Matthew and wife Tracy; and his five nieces and nephews and two great nieces. Sam is predeceased by his father Harold Puffer, his brother Mark Puffer and his grandparents. Sam graduated from Blue Mountain Union School in Wells River, VT where he excelled as an athlete. After graduation, Sam apprenticed as a stone mason and used his skills to create beautiful stone outdoor living spaces.
