MORETOWN-Elaine B. Cheney, 77, of Moretown, Vermont, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2026, following several years with dementia.

Born November 2, 1948, in Brattleboro to Curtis and Eleanor Baker, she graduated from Brattleboro High School and the Vermont College of Cosmetology. She married Thomas Cheney of Montpelier in 1968 and worked as a cosmetologist, administrative assistant, and receptionist before retiring in 2018.

She is survived by her husband; daughters Angela Allen and her husband, Shawn, of Northfield, Charleen “Sherri” Campbell and her husband, Scott, of Barre Town; son Shawn Cheney and his wife, Tanya, of Moretown; and several grandchildren. No services are planned.
