Barre, VT – Gail Marceau, 78, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2025.
Born on June 5, 1947, she was the daughter of Antonio and Helena Tremblay. Gail attended Spaulding High School and went on to work at Sprague Electric, later becoming a hairdresser at Sidewalk Village Salon; a career that reflected her love for connecting with people.
In 1985, she married Charles Marceau. Together, they made their home in the Barre and Plainfield areas before building and retiring to their dream home in Granby, Vermont. Gail and Charlie also cherished their time at their hunting cabin in Wolf Creek, Montana, and their getaway in New Port Richey, Florida.
Gail was a warm and sociable person who especially loved live music, dancing at the Legion and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her sons, Tony and Rene Marceau, their spouses, Tara Downs and Brent Campbell, and her dear friend, Holly Tremblay.
A burial service will be held at the Veterans Cemetery in Randolph, Vermont, on October 10, 2025, at 1:00 PM.
