Jeannette T. Marceau

BERLIN - Jeannette T. Marceau, 88, of Chestnut Place, 430 Berlin Mall Road, Berlin, VT passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at CVMC with her family members at bedside. Born on November 18, 1935, in Barre City, she was the daughter of Fernand and Lucienne (Paquet) Taupier. Jeannette attended St. Monica School and graduated from Spaulding High School in 1953. On July 3, 1954, Jeannette married the one special love of her life William (Joe) Marceau. They lived in South Barre for a few years as they were building their home in Barre Town. Jeannette and Joe had 44 wonderful years together before his death in 1998. Jeannette worked for the Rock of Ages Corp. for 32 years. She enjoyed talking to her grandchildren about all the places they would ship granite to, which was worldwide. Jeannette volunteered at many organizations, the Barre Senior Center, Aldrich Public Library, Central Vt Home Health & Hospice and Vt Association for the Blind to name a few.
