Joseph L. Willette

GRANITEVILLE - Joseph Leo Willette, 85, of Graniteville, died on May 22, 2024, at CVMC in Berlin. He was born August 11,1938 in Northfield VT and was the son of Homer and Cecile (Dumas) Willette. Joe graduated from Northfield High School in 1956 and served in the U.S. Army from 1956 -1958. He and Suzanne Couture married June 30th,1962, at Saint Monica’s Church in Barre. Joe was employed at Rock of Ages and Rouleau Granite for 19 years as a sandblaster. He and Suzanne then started their own business “Willette’s Upholstery” which they ran for 40 years. Joe was a talented and gifted hunter/fisherman/woodcarver and woodworker. Survivors include his wife, Suzanne (Couture) Willette of Graniteville; 4 children, Maureen (Willette) Fraser and husband Scott Fraser of Essex Junction, MaryEllen (Willette) Boutin and husband Tom Boutin of Barre, Andrew Willette and wife Rhonda (Jameson) Willette of Marshfield, and Diane (Willette) Walker of Lowell, MA.
