Josephine R. O'Connor

NAPLES, FL - Josephine Palmisano O'Connor, 82, of Naples, Florida, died on September 21, 2026, surrounded by her family. Born in Barre, Vermont, she was the daughter of Samuel and Constance Palmisano. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard O'Connor, and by her son-in-law, James Miller, husband of Catherine, also her four brothers and one sister-in-law.

A writer at heart, Josephine spent years covering town news for the Record Enterprise. She was also a published author, and her novel, No Regrets, was a proud accomplishment. She was most proud of her family and loved every minute she had with them. Josephine loved to cook and bake she always had something going in the oven. She loved being with her family whether it was going to movies, concerts, plays, sports or cheering at her kids and grandkids events. Mom was a Leader in Brownies and Girls Scouts and she led women crafting events at home. She was a devout Catholic and Religious Education teacher for many years. She will be missed by all of us.

She is survived by her four children and their spouses: Catherine Miller of Naples, FL; Carolyn and Erik John of Naples, FL; Patty and Dwight Wallace of Machias, ME; and Jeff and Beth O'Connor of Manchester, NH. She also leaves her grandchildren, Nathaniel John, Olivia Vose, Ethan John, Lauren Wallace, Corra Rose John, and Samuel Wallace, and her great-grandchildren.

Services will be at the convenience of the family.
