Judith T.
Monette
Dec 17, 1927 — Oct 5, 2026
Williamstown
Judith T. Monette, affectionately known as Judy, peacefully departed this world on October 5, 2026, at the age of 98. Born on December 17, 1927, to Omar and Lea Bergeron, Judy's life was marked by her warmth, creativity, and unwavering love for her family.
Judy's early years were shaped by her remarkable resilience and determination. During World War II, she contributed to the war effort by working in an airplane factory. After the war, Judy found joy and fulfillment in her role as a homemaker, raising her family with love and devotion. Her talents extended beyond the home as she later worked for a clothing store and in jewelry stores, and in later years, a volunteer in church groups.
On November 5, 1948, Judy married the love of her life, Raymond E. Monette. Together, they built a beautiful life, filled with love and cherished memories. Although Raymond predeceased her, their bond remained a source of strength and comfort throughout her life.
Judy was blessed with a large and loving family. She is survived by her beloved daughters, Denise Monette Brooks and Lois Monette, who carry forward her legacy of kindness and compassion. She was predeceased by her only son, Gregory Monette.
Over the years her family grew and she took immense pride in her five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, each a testament to her enduring spirit and nurturing heart.
A gifted seamstress, Judy poured her heart into sewing, crafting beautiful garments for her children, including coats, wedding dresses, and baby clothes for her grandchildren. Her creativity was a reflection of her deep love for her family, and each stitch was a testament to her devotion.
Judy's vibrant personality and ability to make friends wherever she went were remarkable qualities, especially considering she lost most of her hearing after a childhood illness. Her membership in several Catholic churches over the years and her attendance at Apalache Baptist Church for four years reflected her deep faith.
The family extends special thanks to Kirk Strassberger and Uli, her grandson and his wife, for their unwavering care and support in the years preceding her passing. Their love and dedication will always be remembered and cherished.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity of your choice, honoring Judy's generous spirit and her commitment to helping others.
Judy's family will forever hold her memory in their hearts, cherishing the love, laughter, and warmth she brought into their lives. Her legacy of kindness and strength will continue to inspire all who knew her.
