BARRE - Larry Perojo, of Barre, Vermont, passed away unexpectedly on June 27, 2026. He was born on December 13, 1954, in Barre, Vermont, to Leandro and Norma Perojo.
To know Larry was to know that music lived in his bones. His love for music began back in high school and stayed with him throughout his entire life. Whether he was playing, listening, running sound, or helping bring music to life for others, it was always a part of him. One of his proudest musical moments was starting "The Method", but his love and connection to music reached far beyond one band. Over the years, he ran sound for many bands and became part of a world that brought him joy, purpose, friendships, and countless memories.
Larry also loved his work running heavy equipment at McCullough Crushing. He took pride in the job itself, but what meant the most to him were the people he worked with. His coworkers were more than just people he saw each day; they became part of the life he loved.
Larry was predeceased by the love of his life, Teresa, in 2016. Their love was one of the greatest pieces of his story, and there is comfort in believing they are together again.
Larry was also predeceased by his beloved parents, Leandro and Norma Perojo, who welcomed him into the world and helped shape the man so many came to know and love.
He is survived by his daughter, Rachel; his sisters, LeeAnn, Linda, Nina and her husband, Leroy, Laurie and her husband, Getch; his brother, Rusty and his wife, Jessie; his sister-in-law, Thelma; his brother-in-law, Tommy; his nieces, Courtnie, Wendy, Sherye, Angela, Jen, Amber, and Kristin; his nephews, Nick and Dennis; and many extended family members who he loved dearly.
Larry also held a very special place in his heart for his “grand-daughter,” Nubble. He loved her deeply and treasured their trips to the lighthouse in Maine that she was named after. Those visits were more than just trips; they were peaceful, meaningful moments filled with love, memories, and a connection that will never be forgotten.
Larry will be remembered for his love of music, his hard work, his humor, his loyalty, and the way he loved the people and animals who meant the most to him. His life had rhythm, heart, and a soundtrack all its own. Though his song here has ended, the music, memories, and love he leaves behind will keep playing in the hearts of everyone lucky enough to know him.
There will be calling hours to honor Larry on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 11am to 1pm, at Pruneau-Polli Funeral Home.
Arrangements are in the care of Pruneau-Polli Funeral Home, 58 Summer St. in Barre.
