Lise T. Simoneau

BARRE - Lise T. (Gilbert) Simoneau of Barre, Vermont, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on February 25th, 2025. Lise was born May 3rd, 1953, to Andre and Yvette (Maheux) Gilbert in Coaticook, QC, the oldest of 6 children. Lise started work at the Country House restaurant in Barre, but she spent the majority of her life as a caregiver for over 25 years. From taking care of her siblings in early years, to taking care of the elderly at her community care home. She ran the business on Averill St. alongside her husband, Maurice J. Simoneau Sr., son of Leo Simoneau & Marie-Ange (Lacroix). The two were married March 11, 1972, at St. Monica Church in Barre. They made Barre, Vermont their home and raised two sons, Maurice Simoneau Jr.; and Paul Simoneau. Lise will be remembered for her big heart and her kindness.
