Lorraine R. Watker

BARRE- Lorraine R. Watker, 92, of Barre, a loving mother and friend to many, passed away on Wednesday September 27, 2023, at her home. Born on May 5, 1931, in Barre, she was the daughter of Clarence and Annette (Gagnon) Hartley. She attended Elementary School in Orange and graduated from Spaulding High School, class of 1949. On June 14, 1952, Lorraine married George Watker in St. Monica Catholic Church. Together they raised 7 children at their home on Elliot Street in Barre. George passed away unexpectantly on February 5, 1983, at the very young age of 55 yrs. Old. Lorraine worked at the Times Argus in Barre and after retirement she was always volunteering at the Benefit Shop in Barre for countless numbers of years. She is survived by her children; Diane Williams, Edward (Judy), Cynthia (Paul) Mongeon, Dawn (Earl) MacKenzie, Steve (Angie), Brian and Wayne (Pat). 8 Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren.
