Manuel Miana Jr

Manuel Miana Jr. BARRE – Manuel Miana Jr, 96, of Barre, passed away on August 30, 2024 after a short stay where he was surrounded by friends and family in a room full of love in palliative care at Central Vermont Medical Center. His niece was by his side as he took his final breath on Earth and entered eternal life. Manuel was born on May 7, 1928, in Barre, Vermont, the son of Eugenia (Perojo) and Manuel Miana. After graduating from high school at Spaulding, Manuel went to work for his family’s granite shed, Usle & Perojo as a draftsman. When the family business closed in the early 1970’s he continued his work as a draftsman at LaCross Memorials until his retirement. Manuel had the artistic and precise drawing skills and talents to design and draw out several of the beautiful granite designs we see in Barre cemeteries today.
