Margaret Elsie Cushing

SPRINGFIELD/BARRE – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Margaret Elsie Cushing (Conner), 92, of Springfield, VT, and formerly of Barre, VT. She was born April 5, 1931, in Newport, VT, to George Conner and Julia Flanders and was the youngest of 3 children. She married Ronald Cushing Sr. on August 6, 1950, and was married for 46 years before his passing on February 8, 1996. Margaret lived mostly in the Barre and Washington area. She was employed by Sprague Electric in Barre until they closed, and then she worked at Capital Candy until she retired in 1995. After her retirement, she became a mental health provider until she retired from that in 2010. Margarets true passion came from playing Bingo, watching the Boston Red Sox, and spending time with her family who she loved dearly.
