BARRE-Marlene (Roy) Moulton, a devoted nurse and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home on June 25, 2025, after a courageous 2-year battle with cancer. Born on June 17th, 1952, in Barre, Vermont, Marlene was the youngest of 9 children to the late Hautier and Yvonne Roy.

Marlene graduated from Thompson School of Practical Nursing in 1985 and dedicated 38 years to caring for others as a compassionate nurse. Marlene had a passion for travel, particularly enjoying trips to Maine and Nova Scotia. Throughout her illness, Marlene faced each day with remarkable strength and faith, surrounded by her loved ones until the end. Her family was her greatest joy. Her legacy of love, care, and devotion will live on through her family and the countless lives she touched.


She is survived by her children: Brian Moulton, Kevin Moulton (Heidi), and Tara Ariel (Nathanael). She leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren who loved her dearly. Additionally, Marlene is survived by her sisters, Jeannine Colucci, Jaqueline Coghlan, Pauline Marshall, and her brothers, Maurice Roy and Robert Roy. She is preceded in death by her siblings, Rita Larmond, Raymond Roy, and Roger Roy.

A Funeral Mass to celebrate Marlene’s life will be on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at 10:00 am at St Monica Church in Barre.

Arrangements are in the care of Pruneau-Polli Funeral Home, 58 Summer Street in Barre.
