Michael S. Duprey

BARRE TOWN - Michael Steven Duprey, 68, passed away on March 7, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, service, and dedication to his family. Born on May 5, 1956, Michael was the fourth oldest child of Wilfred and Pauline (Little) Duprey. Michael lived a life marked by commitment to his country, his community, and the people he loved. He proudly served in the United States Army from February 1974 to February 1977 before continuing his service as a police officer from 1980 to 1988. Later, he put his skills to work in plumbing and heating, where he built a reputation as a man who could fix just about anything. Michael was a man of many talents and passions. He found joy in shooting, hunting, and fishing, always at home in the great outdoors. Whether building something from scratch or repairing what others thought was beyond saving, he took pride in his ability to create, restore, and improve.
