BARRE, VT – Normand G. Pouliot passed away, at 90 years old, on August 12, 2026. He was the son of Aime and Alice (Roy) Pouliot, born on April 6, 1936, in Stanstead, Canada.
He was predeceased by his wife, Claudette, of 65 years, in May 2026 and a daughter, Pamela, in 2003. He leaves behind his four children: Martina (Pouliot) and husband Donald Boudreault of Graham, NC, Marlyne (Pouliot) and husband William Wolfe, of Berlin, VT, Tim Pouliot and wife Donna (Gadziala) of Barre, VT and Vickie Pouliot and partner, Sharon Herald of Danvers, MA. Normand is also survived by one brother Eugene Pouliot and sisters Denise (Pouliot) Cartner and Therese (Pouliot) Grenier. He was predeceased by brothers, Jean-Paul Pouliot, Gilles Pouliot, Michael Pouliot, Francois Pouliot and sister Carmen (Pouliot) Bernier. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren: Luke and wife Mary Boudreault, Adam and wife Lauren Boudreault, Amanda (Wolfe) and husband Kale Barberi, Nathan Wolfe, Abigail (Wolfe) and husband Cory Boisvert, Alexander Pouliot, Matthew Pouliot; seven great-grandchildren: Christian Boudreault, Molly Boudreault, Lorelai Boudreault, Gavin Barberi, Kye Barberi, Henry Boisvert, Levi Boudreault; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Normand retired, as a stone cutter, from Rouleau Granite Company after 35 years of employment. For many years after retirement, to keep busy, he was a limousine driver and a driver for Bond Auto Parts. He spent many winters in Florida and enjoyed his daily walks. He was a reliable man with a strong work ethic and will be dearly missed.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Monica Church, 79 Summer Street, Barre, VT on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 11am. There will be no calling hours in accordance with Normand’s wishes.
Normand's family is especially grateful for the care and compassion provided by Central Vermont Medical Center staff and Heaton Woods Assisted Living. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heaton Woods Assisted Living, (Activities), 10 Heaton Street, Montpelier, VT 05602.
