Patricia M. Medeiros

BERLIN - Patricia M."Ticia" Medeiros, age 71, passed away Friday, February 7, 2020 at the Berlin Health & Rehabilitation facility following a long struggle with Alzheimer's. Ticia, as she insisted she be called, was born March 9, 1948 in Barre, VT to Wendell B. and Marion Allard Reed.   She was a 1966 Spaulding High School graduate and lived most of her life in Barre.  She was formerly married to Jack Medeiros. Ticia was a very outgoing person who loved being around people, and her employment choices were a perfect fit.  She worked for the then Vermont Department of Employment & Training as a switchboard operator/receptionist, performed country songs at local venues, was an events coordinator at a Brattleboro hotel, and-by far her most favorite job-was as a bartender at Country Cuzzins in Barre.  She was so at home there that she had "her" stool and when the building was later destroyed by fire, the only barstool to survive was delivered to her home as a souvenir.
