BARRE – Pauline Trottier Letourneau, 95, a lifelong Barre resident, passed away peacefully on May 7th, 2024.
Pauline was born in Montpelier, VT, on September 10, 1928, to Cyril and Agnes Trottier. Pauline graduated from Spaulding High School in 1948. She then went on to work at Barre City Hospital as a bookkeeper. In 1955 she married the love of her life, Douglas Letourneau. Together they built their home on Beckley Hill, which was a great source of pride and comfort throughout her life. They started Twin City Custom Sandblast with her brothers Paul and Charles Trottier, where Pauline was the bookkeeper for the family business.
Pauline and Doug welcomed their son, Marc, in 1965. He was the joy of their lives. They enjoyed many trips as a family and Pauline continued to travel throughout the years with Doug, extended family and friends, and a travel group.
After retiring, Pauline was an avid bridge player and volunteered at the VT State House gift shop.
