EAST MONTPELIER - Richard R. Sicely, a beloved figure known for his warmth and vibrant spirit, passed away on November 3, 2025, in Berlin, Vermont, at the age of 61. Born on November 19, 1963, in Montpelier, Vermont, Richard lived a life rich in passion and dedication, leaving a lasting impact on those who knew him.
Richard's interests were as diverse as his personality. He found joy in the thrill of NASCAR, enjoyed tinkering with various projects, and cherished the time spent with his family and fiancé, Becky. A devoted supporter of the Dallas Cowboys, he was always eager to discuss the latest games and share in the camaraderie of being a football fan. His love for traveling and camping underscored his adventurous spirit, bringing him closer to nature and the people he loved.
He is survived by his fiancé, Rebecca Dodge; his children, Kayley Sicely, Lizzie Sicely, Brandi Dodge, Shawn Dodge, and Tiffany Dodge; his brother, Joe Sicely; nieces Amber Sicely, and Ashley Sicely, nephews Thomas Sicely, Anthony Sicely, and Christopher Dolan, and twelve cherished grandchildren.
Richard was predeceased by his father, Raymond Sicely; his mother, Bernice Sicely; and his brother, Robert Sicely. Their memories remain intertwined with his, echoing through the lives of those he held dear.
A graveside service will be held at Fairview Cemetery in East Calais, Vermont, on November 8, 2025, starting at 1:00 PM and concluding at 2:00 PM. This gathering will be a time to honor Richard's life and the joy he brought into the world.
Richard R. Sicely will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He leaves behind not just his family but also a treasure trove of memories that will forever echo in their hearts.
