Robert E. Boardman Sr.

BARRE – Robert E. Boardman Sr., 84, of Barre, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at Barre Gardens.

Robert was born on July 22, 1941, in Waterford, VT, to Elwin and Olive (May) Boardman.

He was a decorated Veteran having served in the Cold War and Vietnam War for the United State Army and Navy, and was very proud of his service.

Robert is survived by his children Angel Hurlburt, Robert Boardman Jr, and Gary Boardman.

A private burial to honor Robert and his service to this country will be held at the Vermont Veterans Cemetery in Randolph at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the VFW Post 790, in East Barre, VT.

Arrangements are in the care of Pruneau-Polli Funeral Home, 58 Summer St. in Barre.
