BERLIN - Ronald “Ronnie” Coleman, 63, of Berlin, Vermont died unexpectedly on May 21, 2025. Ronnie was born in Rutland, Vermont on February 17, 1962, to Alice Durfey Coleman and James Edward Coleman. He was one of 8 children, 7 boys and one girl. His early years were spent at the Brandon Training School where he was known for his laugh as well as being the instigator of many amusing antics.
Following his time in Brandon he moved to Central Vermont. He lived with Tim Healy in Northfield for many years. Tim and Ronnie once enjoyed a cross-country road trip to Yellowstone National Park. Ronnie spent his final years living with Chris Wilder, Gavin Wilder, and his partner Hailey Melton. Ronnie was also fond of spending time with his friend, Jamie Gokey. Ronnie was supported by Upper Valley Services. Through Upper Valley Services he met many friends who left a lasting impact on his life.
Ronnie loved listening to rock and roll music, especially the Beatles, sitting in his rocking chair on the porch, riding in the car, relaxing in his recliner watching westerns, eating pizza and cheeseburgers, and going for rides on the side by side. Over the past few years Ronnie was able to spend his winters in Tennessee. In Tennessee he enjoyed the warmer weather, rides on the side by side to Sonic for milkshakes and going for rides in a motorcycle side car.
Ronnie was predeceased by his parents, as well as a number of siblings.
A celebration of life will be held on July 1 at 1pm at the Upper Valley Services Moretown Office, 66 Dickerson Road, Moretown.
