Yvonne B. Willard

BARRE - Yvonne Bella (Beaucage) Willard, age 93, of Barre, passed away peacefully on December 17th at University of Vermont Medical Center in Berlin.

Born on March 21st,1932 in Wheelock, VT, she was the daughter of Rosario and Blanche (Gregoire) Beaucage.

Yvonne graduated from Spaulding High School in 1950 and was employed for the State of Vermont before starting a long career as head of the typesetting department at Capital City Press in Berlin, until her retirement.

In the early 1950s, Yvonne met Charles Edwin Willard at a barn dance in Plainfield, and they married in 1957. Charles and Yvonne were the parents of two daughters, Terri Lyn, born in 1964, and Lori Ann, born in 1966.

Yvonne had a way of making everyone in her life feel special and always put others first. Her presence will be missed by all who knew her. The matriarch of the family, Yvonne loved cooking and entertaining family on holidays. She was an avid gardener, and many neighbors considered her beautiful flower beds the best in the neighborhood.

Yvonne was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Charles, along with her sisters Josephine Cayia and Alice Couture, her brother Joseph Beaucage, and her godchildren Karen Gagne, Michelle Couture and David Cayia.

Yvonne is survived by her dog Buddy, her daughter Terri (Willard) Hood and husband Chris, her daughter Lori (Willard) Duquette and husband Mark, her grandchildren Amber Willard, Danielle (Duquette) Pearson, and Lance Duquette, her sister Marion Gagne, her brother Robert Beaucage, along with many nieces and nephews.

There are no calling hours or service; a private burial is planned for the spring.
